Happy Father's Day

As this 2010 Father's Day has come and gone, I took stock of just how far we have come since first being introduced to Patrick.  The other day, Christy and I found some video I took of the little guy just minutes after him being born.  This was the first time I was able to get close to Patrick, while Mom was still in the recovery room flushing out the narcotics from her system.  Patrick has all his central lines in and it's about 12:30PM on March 17th, 2010










And this is what he looks like now:



We have gone through countless medical staff, doctors, supplies, and diapers.  He has put on twice as much weight as he originally weighed, and continues to delight his parents by the hour.  This weekend was a perfect setting to have a day that I could hold Patrick, and do the typical "new-parent" marvel.  I have never been happier in my life to have a little kiddo to play with.

Patrick - you are the best part of my days.
