Deep Creek Vacation

We were lucky enough to spend Fourth of July week at Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland on a two-family vacation. The Linn-Hudson crew had no idea what Hurricane Patrick had in store for them!

Patrick saw no need to sleep in during his vacation, so he was up at 6:00 sharp each morning. Fortunately for Andy and I, Bob was also up early and would have the coffee ready.

After Patrick discovered the joy of empty kitchen cabinets, we found ourselves wondering why we even packed toys!

We had beautiful weather just about all week, so Patrick got to go on his first boat ride. We were surprised at how much he enjoyed it.

...but decided that it was VERY scary.

One day while everyone else was out on the boat, Andy, Patrick and I spent some time down on the dock. Andy and Patrick went swimming. At first he didn't like the chilly lake water, but after a few minutes, Patrick was happily floating in the lake.
