Just for a visit*, though!
Some of Patrick's biggest fans are in Aunt Katie's class, so we decided to go see them before the end of the school year. Patrick was greeted by lots of excited little second graders. Aunt Katie proudly held Patrick in the front of the classroom while her students asked me questions about him.
"Where is his hat?" Patrick's helmet is in the car. I took it off since it's so hot outside.
"Does Patrick watch Yo Gabba Gabba?" Yes. Sometimes.
"Does Patrick have teeth?" Yes, eight of them and they are very sharp!
"Can Patrick walk yet?" No, not quite. He's very close, though.
After our Q&A, it was time for recess, so we headed outside with the class. It felt like I was a bodyguard for a tiny little rock star. The kids kept swarming around Patrick and touching his head. He went down the slide a few times and then played in the shade for a bit before letting me know that it was time for a nap.
*This was our second visit: our first visit was last year, on the day we got to turn off the monitor for good.
