Last Easter, Andy and I woke up early and headed to Fairfax Hospital to see Patrick. When we got there, we saw him awake for the first time. This Easter weekend, our little bundle of joy had his eyes open by 6AM both days ready to play.
The past year has been such a gift to us. We are so fortunate that Patrick was able to receive the medical care that he needed to grow and thrive.
Our family has decided to walk in the March of Dimes March for Babies on May 15 in Reston, VA. The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. We typically do not participate in these kinds of fundraisers since we don't feel comfortable asking people for money. Andy and I are committed to making a contribution to support the March of Dimes. If any of our readers would like to donate, that would be very much appreciated. But mostly, please just think of the three of us on the morning of May 15 as we walk in order to give back to an organization that helped us bring home our healthy little boy.
