At my sonogram yesterday morning, the tech measured the baby and estimated its weight. Three weeks ago, the baby was 1lb 6oz, and now he/she is 2lbs 3 oz at 29 weeks. This is still very small, but we were happy to hear that the baby is still in the 7th percentile for size. While this means that we haven't caught up any in size, it also indicates that the baby's growth hasn't slowed down.
In other good news, the baby's heart rate has not dropped any more since Monday. Andy came to the hospital early in order to be there for yesterday's sonogram. Having him here with me was great given the drama of the last two sonograms, and he provided a lot of comic relief during the test. I was watching the screen and when I looked back down, Andy's face was about 3 inches from my belly and he was yelling "Hello baby, this is your father. Wakey, wakey!" I thought that the tech was going to fall out of her chair. She told me that I'm a very lucky woman to have a husband like Andy. His response? "She is lucky. I tell her that every day."
