Weekend, and some privacy

This weekend was great as far as stays at the hospital go.  Little Tiger was moved into a private room on Friday evening.  So we moved her from her previous bed, to the new room as we enjoyed take-out on our enjoyable exciting Friday night.  I have learned a few things that were surprising to me about iNova Fairfax Hospital.  With over 900 beds in the entire hospital, they deliver 11,000 babies a year.  Yes....11,000.  That is 30.13 babies a day.  Holy Crap!

That means that about 600 new little humans have come into the world since we were admitted.

In other news the hospital staff couldn't be any nicer.  It seems that since we have been there we have had a different nurse that has gone out of their way to ensure that Little Tiger is as comfortable as possible, and provide for her every need.  They are always quick to provide a re-assuring pat on the leg, or bring some more ice-water.  As the patient advocate walks around to make sure that there isn't anything needed, everyone seems to always know exactly what is going on, and be playing to the same sheet of music.

In home-front news:  Tomorrow the nursery furniture is scheduled for delivery, and I think we are both looking forward to seeing how that will make the room feel more like a little home, than just the room with stripes.  I have been busy at the house ensuring that things like bills getting paid, and laundry continues to stay clean while LT keeps the little kiddo cookin.  I suppose that last statement is a bit of a push as I have had plenty of help with the laundry from helpful little elves (Mary and Judy), Ella has been enjoying her stay at Casa-de-Bob, and a litany of folks have offered food, support, flowers, and open ears.  There are many more pictures to share, and I will get those up here just as soon as I can.
