Day 9 || It's the weekend

Most things in the hospital tend to slow down over the weekend....most things.  Patrick is not one of those things.  He has started to turn a little bit of a corner, and as each hour passes Christy and I become a little more hopeful.  He is sleeping a bit better, has more energy and has finally started to eat and drink.

It is wonderful to see our little boy acting more like himself, but Christy and I are guarded with our optimism.  We hope that this lasts, and so far so good.  He fell asleep in about two minutes yesterday:




After that we took him for a wagon ride through the halls of the peds ward at Fairfax:





Finally, I went to sleep and woke up to find that Patrick was ready to feed mom some pretzels!
