Bye Bye... Bed...Bye Bye

G'Day to you,

My life in the NICU continues, seemingly unabated.  Many of the items on my tiny checklist have been ticked off at this point, but there are a few more things that really need to happen before that fateful day of home delivery service.

The good news is that they wheeled off that bird-house of a bed and gave me a big-boy-bed....

Nurses taking the isolette back downstairs!

They can keep me out in the open now because I am doing a much better job of maintaining my temperature

People continue to come in and out throughout the day.  Lately it has been the addition of Mom and Dad at almost every feed to help keep me growing and out of trouble as much as possible.  Every three hours I wake up on the dot with my mouth open like a baby bird ready for some grub.

If they aren't able to feed me right away, sometimes I just chew on my own hands.

After eating however is always time for a great nap!

I continue to have these little spells of bradycardia or continued desats.  These are due to my undeveloped sense of needed to keep my little heart going and require some small external stimulation.  When these episodes do occur, it is very scary for Mom and Dad, but they seem to pull through.  I will keep on ticking, and hopefully this this all under control so I can leave the sport-trainers, and hit the field!
