Movin on up

Buenas noches mis amigos,

Today continues to keep me on my toes as the days go by, I continue to grow a little bit more and give my folks more to smile about each time they visit.  Mostly that means more time staring at me.

I have now been relieved of the majority of the things sticking into me.  My IV has been removed which means that I am now all on my own in terms of how much food I keep in my tummy, and am able to swallow down.  They are now allowing me to take all of my meals through a bottle at the rate of 25 mL/meal.  For the most part I have had a good time of taking care of it, but occasionally I need a small amount of help with the gavage tube.

Before we get into what this means, I'd like to make a small editorial comment about Miss Elizabeth "I cry until I can't breathe" next door.  The nurses decided that she just wants to be around some other people.  So while Dad visited me today, the nurses camped Elizabeth, in her swing, right next to us while Dad fed me.  She just stared at me with her really big eyes while I ate some lunch.  She also happens to look like a baby chicken with hair that sticks straight up!  All in all I am afraid that she just wants to to be me.

So now I am a candidate for moving rooms to a slightly quieter place in the satellite room on the sixth floor with more advanced babies in the space.  We are keeping our short fingers crossed that I get out of the alarm madness.  In the mean time, I am going to do my best to manage my own temperature and keep poopin' while my folks try to figure out how to get the house ready for my grand arrival and the work required to take care of me.

Don't worry about the divot in my chest, that's just what I look like from time to time.

With Love and Puppies,
Patrick
